In fact, this town is known as the outlet capital of the Southeast! No matter what your age or personal taste, you’ll find something you like here. Pigeon Forge shopping is also convenient since most stores are within walking distance on the Parkway. For those of you who enjoy beautiful scenery in addition to shopping, Pigeon Forge has several sight worthy shopping areas to visit. The Old Mill Square, with its water-powered wheel, was built is 1830 and is one of the most photographed mills in the U.S. It offers tours, dining, and shopping. Another must see spot while in Pigeon Forge shopping is the incredible Christmas Place. Everything in this Bavarian-style store complex is Christmas themed. It is open 7 days a week and spans 43,000 square feet filled with Christmas collectibles. If you’re going to visit Dollywood for the rides and shows, don’t forget to check out its various craft and gift shops too. Dollywood has an area called Craftsman’s Valley which showcases the talented work of local craftspeople in the area. Belz Factory Outlet World is a popular shopping area located right off the Parkway. It has over 85 outlet stores offering prices well below retail. The Pigeon Forge Factory Outlet Mall, also known as the Red Roof Mall, offers a calmer place to shop on the weekdays. The best known outlet center in the area that most people visit while in Pigeon Forge shopping is the Tanger Outlet Center. It has two locations, one in Pigeon Forge and one in the neighboring town of Sevierville.
