To All Our Supporting Vendors Present and Those To Come,

It is with the highest regard and most sincere thanks to you for participating in The CopperLodge Resort that I share this note from the dark rich earth.

I’d just like to emphasize how truly I believe every entity involved in this project will look back on it with much pride and dignity knowing they have been a part of something that is done for great reasons –other than just profits. We’re all doing this for all the right reasons. Financially, our bottom line is nowhere near where we’d like for it to be, but our motives behind this entire concept far exceed the need for an increased bank account.

Sparking a long term interest in cleaning up our “scene” locally will (I’m convinced) only spread to a national (and as far as international) awareness and duplication. Think of the families that come visit The Great Smokey Mountains from every corner of the United States! Over ten visitors a year visit these beautiful mountains! Many will take this concept back home and want it implemented there. Some will go home and be afforded the ability to use what they have seen at Copper Lodge and the clutch of its cottages in a small way. Others will be afforded the luxury of taking it to their community and “running with it”.

Some may ask, “All this coming from a small resort concerned about quality, self sustained energy, and non toxic eco-friendly ideas?” Our response is, “You better believe it!”

The contacts we’ve already made are leading to national exposure through magazines, TV, and internet that will shake the ground in a big way. We’re already experiencing companies willing to step up to the cause and volunteer products, deep discounts and professional services to see this all happen. People want to be a part of something big and good for others. I call all this “genuine growth”.

Mark my words, if people don’t start changing the face of development in our area and other communities in other States with an emphasis on environmental concerns soon, our area as we know it, will eventually deplete itself of the majesty that remains. I choose to leave things better than I found them, even if that means picking an old can by the roadside.

Thanks for your positive outlook.

Sincerely,

Jerry Wyatt
