There are several stables in the Pigeon Forge and Wears Valley area. One of our favorites is Triple Creek Stables on the corner of Jayell Road and the old Middle Creek Road. If you’re familiar with the area, you know this is about a mile from Dollywood and Dollywood Splash Country. A gentleman cowboy named Fred runs the stable for horseback riding in Pigeon Forge TN. Fred and his friends will make you feel like you’re family. We’ve ridden there several times and can honestly say, this is one of the most beautiful rides around and emphasis on friendliness can’t be over overstated. The cowboy guides have on occasion had some of us laughing so hard during our ride, we nearly fell off our horses.

Horseback riding in Pigeon Forge TN ventures across a 200 year old farm at the corner of Jayell Road and meanders back through breathtaking meadows, shady groves of trees, and valleys that look back at The Smokey Mountains. It is a very “user-friendly” ride in our opinion. It’s relaxing and you won’t regret fitting this into your plan while visiting the Great Smokey Mountains. Try scheduling it around sundown and prepare to be mesmerized by a gorgeous sunset. By the way, when’s the last time you took the time to watch the sun set? Do it!
